“The greatest happiness of life is the conviction we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.” Victor Hugo

Recently a patient’s mom admonished me for not pre warning her of the consequences of doing orthopedics and orthodontics on her (3) teenage daughters. She stated that since the orthodontics was initiated that her house phone was ringing nonstop, and that her daughters were struggling to keep their potential suitors at bay. She claims I should make parents sign a waiver acknowledging the potential consequences of the orthodontic treatment.
Although enhancing the facial aesthetics of our patients is not our primary goal of treatment, it is often a welcome effect. Orthopedics and orthodontics are primarily performed to enhance functions and T.M.J health, and when properly performed will achieve those goals. Giving our patients a big beautiful smile without removing any permanent teeth is our ultimate goal.
If you or someone you love has questions about orthopedics and or orthodontics, please call our office for a complimentary consult.

Sincerely,
Michael W. Dagostino DDS
