“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” Albert Einstein

Risk is defined as a situation involving exposure to change. I have always been a risk taker, I jumped (parachuted) out of the first airplane I was ever in. That said, as a clinician I make a concerted effort to minimize the risk I subject my patients to. All dental procedures have an element of risk, however recognizing a treatment modality or approach that can keep the risk factor to the lowest level possible is a goal of our practice. We endeavor to advise patients of risk, benefits and alternative treatments for most procedures we perform. Using proper technique, state of the art equipment and the best dental materials available is a major part of minimizing risk to the patients. Our office has embraced modern technology, but we will not attempt a procedure that does not have long term benefits and success.

Should you or someone you love have questions about the risk of a particular procedure, please contact our office for a consultation.

Sincerely,
Michael W. Dagostino DDS
