Covid-19 has radically changed our world. The current vaccination rate in the U.S stands at 56.5%. Recently, Merck Pharmaceutical has developed an antivirus drug called Molnupiravir. This drug demonstrated great efficiency in preventing hospitalization and death in patients that acquired Covid-19.
Additionally, Molnupiravir has shown great effectiveness against all the Covid-19 variant strains.
This drug can be taken at home which allows people to stay out of the hospital for administration. The most exciting aspect of the drug is that it can be taken in the pill form rather than I.V infusion like remdesivir. Virologist are recommended it being taken as soon as symptoms start.
