Dear Patients,
The Indians are finally out of the cellar, the Browns are about to start the pre season, and the kids are preparing to go back to school. Obviously, fall is around the corner!
Patients have often asked if it is possible to correct an overbite without surgery. I have attached before and after photos of a patient whose overbite I corrected (see below). The actual treatment time varies from patient to patient. Most cases can be completed in 2-3 years. The correction of an overbite is a combination of jaw growth, jaw reformation, and muscular repositioning. This treatment is accomplished with a removable appliance which re-postures the mandible to its ideal physiologic position. The treatment is painless and stable. I have personally corrected hundreds of overbites with incredible success.
Should you or someone you love have questions about correcting an overbite please contact our office for a complimentary consultation.
Sincerely,
Michael W. Dagostino, DDS
